Hatta River at Nishiura Bridge, Kasugai Live Cam

Upstream of Nishiura Bridge in Kasugai, Aichi Prefecture, the Hatta River runs along a stony channel toward a road bridge in the distance. A paved bank path with a guardrail follows the water on the right side of the frame.

The Hatta River belongs to the Shonai River system and runs southwest through Kasugai into northern Nagoya. The camera stands in the Shimohara district, in the northern part of Kasugai. Low buildings and a road run along the far bank, while a tall hedge lines the near side.

Looking upstream from the bridge, the view follows the channel toward the larger road crossing ahead, with low hills on the horizon. The water level changes noticeably here: at times a thin stream winds between the stones, and at other times brown water covers the bed from bank to bank.
