Weather and time
This is the Jizo River beside the Kachigawa water level station in the southern part of Kasugai, Aichi Prefecture. A tall concrete railway viaduct crosses the channel ahead, and a paved road runs along the right bank.
The station takes its name from Kachigawa, the district around the nearby JR station, and lies close to the Shonai River and the border with Nagoya. The elevated line above the water is the JR Chuo Main Line, which runs between Kachigawa and Shin-Moriyama stations. The Jizo River belongs to the Shonai River system.
The frame shows a calm channel with grassy banks, a stone-faced slope on the far side and the underside of the viaduct, with another bridge visible beyond it. Compared with the narrow concrete channel at Yajiri Bridge upstream, the river here is open and bordered by vegetation.
