The Magome River is a 23-kilometre river that rises in the north of Hamamatsu, passes through the city centre near Hamamatsu Station and reaches the sea on the Enshu-nada coast. This stretch runs through quiet residential streets south-east of the station.

The fixed camera stands beside a riverside footpath, so a white railing curves along the bottom of the frame. On the far bank, grassy embankments lead up to houses, low apartment blocks and a tall brick-red tower, while pylons and power lines cross the sky on the right.
