Haneda Airport Apron, Tokyo Live Cam

This fixed camera at Haneda Airport in Ota, Tokyo, looks across a wide concrete apron and a taxiway toward the airfield's edge. Parked aircraft, warehouses and floodlight masts line the horizon beyond a strip of grass.

Haneda, officially Tokyo International Airport, is built largely on land reclaimed from Tokyo Bay, at the southern edge of the city. The camera sits in a hangar on the airport grounds and looks out through a window, which adds faint vertical lines to the picture.

This view shows the ground side of the airfield rather than the passenger terminal. Helicopters sometimes park or taxi on the concrete in front of the camera, and in the late afternoon the shadow of the building falls across the apron.
