Weather and time
This camera looks across the Ebitori River at the Tenku Bridge footbridge in Ota, Tokyo, where steel piers stand in the water. A water-level staff with orange fittings is fixed to the nearest pier, and a round culvert opens into the stone-lined bank beside it.
Tenku Bridge is a pedestrian-only crossing in the Haneda district. The Ebitori River splits from the lower Tama River and runs north to Tokyo Bay, and its channel separates Haneda Airport from the neighbourhoods beside it. The Keikyu Airport Line passes under the canal close by, and a boat landing for river craft stands about 80 m away.
The camera faces the bridge pier head-on instead of following the channel. A flat white girder deck with a railing fills the top of the frame, and dense green growth covers the slope behind the pier.
