Val d'Orcia Countryside, Pienza Live Cam

This camera looks over the hills of the Val d'Orcia from a farm near Monticchiello, in the municipality of Pienza in Tuscany. Tall pines and broadleaf trees frame the view, with fields and cypresses below and a broad mountain ridge on the horizon.

Pienza lies in the province of Siena, and the surrounding Val d'Orcia is a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape of rolling farmland and rows of cypress trees. The camera stands on the grounds of an organic farm with a restaurant on the road between Pienza and Monticchiello.

The camera is fixed and looks across a slope of cultivated fields toward the valley floor. Farm buildings and hay bales can be made out among the cypresses in the middle distance, and a fence and footpath run along the lower left corner of the frame.
