Weather and time
Fiumalbo is a small stone village in the Modena Apennines of Emilia-Romagna, shown here from a fixed camera above its rooftops. The view looks across the old centre to forested hills and a mountain ridge.
The village belongs to the province of Modena and lies at roughly 950 metres, just across the pass from Abetone and the Tuscan border. It is known for its medieval character, with stone houses and narrow lanes, and for a living nativity scene. Hiking and mountain biking are popular here in summer, and ski slopes are not far away in winter.
The camera sits on a slope above the village, so tree branches and a few tiled roofs frame the foreground. In the centre a dense cluster of grey and pastel-coloured houses climbs the hillside, with a bell tower rising among the roofs. Wooded slopes and meadows rise beyond them towards a long ridge.
