Monte Argegna, Garfagnana Live Cam

Monte Argegna is a high meadow above the Passo dei Carpinelli in the Garfagnana, in the province of Lucca, Tuscany. The camera faces a wide grassy slope with a small church standing among trees at the top.

The site lies at about 1,000 metres on the Argegna plateau, just above the Foce dei Carpinelli pass. The camera points north-west toward the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Guardia, which has stood on the mountain since 1895, and the open pastures around it.

The fixed view takes in a gentle slope, a wooden rail fence and a broad leafy tree beside a narrow paved road. The sanctuary shows as a pale building under the tree line on the horizon. The picture is mostly open grass and sky, so light, cloud and the seasons dominate it.
