Tellaro Village, Lerici Live Cam

The camera looks west over the terracotta rooftops of Tellaro in Lerici toward the open water of the Gulf of Poets. The stone bell tower of the Stella Maris church rises at the left, and the pink tip of the San Giorgio bell tower shows in the middle of the village.

Tellaro is a small fishing village on the Ligurian coast, in the province of La Spezia, and is counted among the most beautiful villages of Italy. Its tall houses climb the rock above the sea. On the right of the horizon the island of Tino, the island of Palmaria and the promontory of Portovenere close the gulf, and ships pass far out on the open sea.

The view is fixed and looks over the village rather than at the shore itself, so it shows the roofs, the church tower and the whole gulf at once. When the sun is low in the west, a bright streak crosses the frame and the water turns silver.
