Weather and time
The camera overlooks the bay of San Terenzo in Lerici, with rows of pastel houses, a small beach and a rocky breakwater along the shore. A wooded hill rises behind the village, and its old castle stands at the left end of the waterfront.
San Terenzo is a seaside village on the Gulf of Poets in the province of La Spezia, Liguria. A small castle guards the end of the beach, and Villa Magni, the house linked with the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, stands near the shore. Across the bay lie the harbour and castle of Lerici, and the islands of Palmaria and Tino rise farther out.
This is a pan-tilt-zoom camera, so the picture changes between views. It switches from the wide bay and village to a close view of the old castle and houses, a zoom on Lerici castle with the masts of its marina, and the palm-lined terraces of the seafront.
