Baia Blu Beach, Lerici Live Cam

The camera looks west over the curved beach of Baia Blu, a small cove at San Terenzo in Lerici, on the Ligurian coast. Beach terraces fill the lower right of the frame, and a wooded headland closes the bay on the right.

Lerici lies in the province of La Spezia on the eastern shore of the Gulf of La Spezia, better known as the Gulf of Poets. Baia Blu is a sheltered stretch of sand and pebbles below green slopes. On the horizon the low outlines of the islands of Palmaria and Tino mark the entrance of the gulf, and ships pass far out at sea.

The view is fixed, so the same scene shows the cove in changing light, with the afternoon sun sparkling on the water. Tree branches hang over the top of the frame, which gives the beach a more enclosed look than the open bay at nearby San Terenzo.
