Sunshine Bowl, Solitude Live Cam

Sunshine Bowl is a wide, open ski run above the Roundhouse mid-mountain lodge at Solitude in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah. The camera looks up the slope to a chairlift line crossing the ridge, with dark spruce and fir on the left of the frame.

Solitude lies in the Wasatch Range of Salt Lake County, about half an hour's drive from downtown Salt Lake City. The Roundhouse is the resort's mid-mountain restaurant, and Sunshine Bowl is an intermediate run that comes down from the ridge and ends beside the lodge.

Unlike the views of lift terminals, this camera shows the run itself. Clumps of conifers break up the open bowl, the chairs hang on the cable along the skyline, and in winter skiers come down this slope toward the Roundhouse.
