Sunglow Fishing Pier, Florida Live Cam

The Sunglow pier runs out from the beach at Daytona Beach Shores, on the Atlantic coast of central Florida. The webcam looks south along the sand towards it from a lifeguard tower.

The pier was built in 1960 for fishing and has carried a restaurant on the shore end for more than thirty years. Nobody needs a licence to fish from it, which is the usual arrangement on Florida piers.

The sand here is hard-packed enough to drive on, and cars are still allowed onto marked sections of this beach in daylight. Turtles nest on the same sand from May to October, which is why the rules tightened.
