Beach Walkover, St. Augustine Beach Live Cam

The camera stands in St. Augustine Beach, a small city across the Matanzas River from historic St. Augustine. Its long, flat beach faces the open ocean and is a popular surfing spot. The county fishing pier lies a short way to the north. Sea oats hold the dunes together, and walkovers let people reach the sand without trampling them.

The camera keeps one wide view facing the ocean. The walkover crosses the dune from the lower left and ends at the open beach, where several lines of breakers roll in. On warm days sunbathers spread out on the sand, and surfers wait for waves beyond the shore break.
