Alligator Pond, St. Augustine Alligator Farm Live Cam

This fixed high-angle camera overlooks an alligator pond at the Alligator Farm Zoological Park on Anastasia Island in Florida. The alligators swim and rest around a sandy island while visitors watch from a wooden boardwalk on the right.

The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park stands on Anastasia Boulevard, across the Matanzas River from the old town. It began in the late nineteenth century as a small exhibition of Florida reptiles and is now an accredited zoo with educational shows, research and conservation work.

The frame stays the same through the day, so changes come from the animals, the light and the crowd. A palm trunk and a park signboard stand on the left, a log-edged sandy island fills the center, and a railed viewing platform with another farm sign sits on the right.
