Ormond Beach, Florida Live Cam

Two webcam views share the frame at Ormond Beach in Volusia County, Florida, on the Atlantic coast of the United States. One looks north from the lifeguard station, the other south along the surf towards Andy Romano Beachfront Park.

The sand here is wide and hard packed, firm enough that cars are allowed to drive and park on marked sections of it — a practice this part of the Florida coast has kept for over a century. The park in the southern view has a splash pad, a playground and picnic shelters set back from the dune line.

Onshore weather changes the picture quickly: the same stretch can be flat and empty at dawn and carrying heavy surf by afternoon. Storm swell washes right up to the seawall in the southern view.
