Northeast Harbor, Mount Desert Island Live Cam

This camera looks across Northeast Harbor on Mount Desert Island, Maine, where dozens of sailboats and motor yachts lie on their moorings. A low wooded point closes the view, with the village marina and its docks at the right edge of the frame.

Northeast Harbor is a village in the town of Mount Desert, on the southern shore of the island it shares with Acadia National Park. It has been a summer resort since the nineteenth century, and its marina holds more than 200 yachts in high season. The Asticou and Thuya gardens lie at the eastern entrance to the village.

The camera is fixed and takes in a wide sweep of the harbor, from the forested shore on the left to the marina on the right. Unlike the Bar Harbor views on the other side of the island, it looks over a sheltered yacht anchorage rather than the open bay.
