North Light, Block Island Live Cam

This camera at Block Island North Light looks out over a sandy beach and dune grass at the island's northern tip. Open water fills the upper half of the frame, with a low line of distant shore on the horizon.

Block Island North Light is a lighthouse on Corn Neck Road in New Shoreham, Rhode Island, at the northern end of Block Island. The island lies off the southern coast of Rhode Island. The lighthouse overlooks Sandy Point, a low spit of sand and grass where the land narrows toward the water.

The camera is mounted high, so the beach, the dunes and the line of surf are seen from above. A place name, temperature and wind reading run along the bottom of the picture, and the waves, the dune grass and the haze over the water change with the weather and the season.
