Midway Chair 5, Bear Mountain Live Cam

The Midway Chair 5 lift terminal stands beside a paved plaza at the central base of Bear Mountain in Big Bear Lake. The camera looks across rows of chairs and picnic tables toward the loading station and the cleared slope behind it.

Midway Chair 5 is a high-speed six-seat lift built by Leitner-Poma that opened on December 19, 2024. It replaced the former Chairs 2 and 5 and runs about 2,494 feet (760 m). Bear Mountain sits in the San Bernardino Mountains above Big Bear Lake in San Bernardino County, California, with its base at 7,140 feet (2,176 m).

The camera shifts its framing during the day. Some views center on the terminal and the lift line climbing the slope, while wider shots add a small kiosk at the edge of the plaza and the pine forest along the ridge. Outside the snow season the runs show dry grass and bare dirt.
