Fort Madison Marina, Iowa Live Cam

From a rooftop at the Fort Madison Marina in Iowa, a fixed camera looks west across a parking lot to the BNSF tracks along the river. A green lawn, brick buildings and a tall church spire fill the background.

Fort Madison stands on the Mississippi River, and BNSF's Chillicothe Subdivision, part of the Southern Transcon, runs along its riverfront. Amtrak's Southwest Chief stops at the historic depot, and Union Pacific also has trackage rights. East of the marina the tracks reach the 1927 Fort Madison Bridge, a double-deck swing bridge.

The roof edge fills the lower part of the frame, with the lot, a fenced dumpster area and a planted island beyond it. Trains pass along the far side of the lot in front of the park, where a tall stone column stands at the right edge.
