Weather and time
A pan-tilt camera beside the Amtrak station in Galesburg, Illinois, looks over platform shelters and BNSF tracks to a tall signal bridge. Other views cover the junction where the tracks fan out.
Galesburg is a historic rail hub on BNSF's Chicago Division, where the Ottumwa, Mendota and Brookfield subdivisions meet. The Chicago, Burlington & Quincy built its large classification yard in 1905. The Galesburg Railroad Museum beside the station keeps Burlington Route steam locomotive No. 3006. Amtrak's California Zephyr, Southwest Chief, Carl Sandburg and Illinois Zephyr call here.
One view shows green platform shelters and signals with switches curving away behind them. Another looks along the main tracks toward the signal bridge and low buildings, and a third covers the track fan and trees. At night floodlights and red signals light the scene.
