Flagler Beach Pier, Florida Live Cam

The pier at Flagler Beach runs out over the surf, and the camera looks down its length from the shore end. The town is on the Atlantic coast of Florida between Daytona and St Augustine.

The water off this beach is the only known calving ground of the North Atlantic right whale. Mothers arrive from New England between December and March to give birth in the shallows, and spotters watch for them from the pier; fewer than four hundred of the animals are left.

The timber pier dates from 1928 and has been rebuilt in pieces after every serious storm, most recently after the hurricanes of 2016 and 2022. Fishing from it needs no separate licence, and the catch is mostly whiting, pompano and the occasional tarpon.
