Alpena Marina, Michigan Live Cam

This elevated camera looks east over the Alpena Marina in Michigan, with its boat basin, launch ramp and docks set against Thunder Bay. A breakwater shelters the moored boats, and a white building with a grey roof stands beside the ramp in the middle of the frame.

Alpena is a port city on the north-eastern shore of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, where the Thunder Bay River meets Thunder Bay, an inlet of Lake Huron. The city-owned marina is a short walk from downtown. The waters offshore belong to the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, known for its historic shipwrecks.

The fixed angle covers the whole harbour, from the boat storage yard with its sailboat masts on the left to the docks on the right. Boats at the launch ramp and trailers in the parking lot are easy to follow.
