Alma Mater, Illinois Live Cam

This live webcam shows the Alma Mater sculpture at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, set in the twin cities of Champaign and Urbana in Illinois, United States. The bronze figure shows a woman in academic robes standing in front of a klismos chair, her arms open in welcome, with two further statues representing "Labor" and "Learning."

The sculpture was created by American sculptor Lorado Zadok Taft and is named after the university's motto, "Learning and Labor." Its granite base carries three inscriptions, including a greeting from the Alma Mater to the university's students past and future. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was founded in 1867 and is a highly regarded public university.
