Xihu Changhua, Taiwan Live Cam

The crossing of Fude and Funong roads is the middle of Xihu township, in Changhua county on the west coast of Taiwan. The webcam looks down on the traffic.

Sugar built this town. A refinery worked here through the Japanese period, and a narrow-gauge network was laid across the plain to bring cane in from the fields; a surviving stretch now runs a preserved locomotive on a seven-kilometre tourist line.

The country around is farmland, best known for its grapes: the Kyoho variety grown here is sold across the island. Lamb hotpot is the other thing the township is known for.
