Weather and time
A 360-degree view from roof level at the Taroko Visitor Center in Fushi Village, Hualien County, Taiwan. Curved metal roofs frame a wide lawn, and forested mountain walls rise right behind it.
Taroko National Park lies on the east coast of Taiwan and was established in 1986. It is known for the marble gorge of the Liwu River and for mountains that climb to well over 3,000 metres. The visitor center stands in Xiulin Township and serves as an information point for the gorge road and trails.
The camera shows a full spherical image from one fixed position, so the straight edges of the roofs bend toward the sides of the frame. Beyond them are a paved plaza with white tent canopies, a small car park and a red-brick building, with changing cloud on the slopes behind.
