Posada de Valdeón, Picos de Europa Live Cam

This camera looks down on Posada de Valdeón, the main village of the Valdeón valley on the León side of the Picos de Europa. Its rotating view moves between the village rooftops, a small reservoir and the wooded slopes around the valley.

Posada de Valdeón lies at about 940 metres, in a valley enclosed between the Western and Central massifs of the Picos de Europa. The Cares River crosses it from south to north towards Caín, where the Cares Gorge trail begins. The village also hosts an information office of the national park.

In its widest position the camera takes in the whole village and its meadows, with the Vega Boyán reservoir and pale limestone walls in the distance. Other positions zoom in on the reservoir and its dam or turn towards the forested ridges above the valley.
