Weather and time
This live webcam shows the area around Isla de la Torre in Santander, the capital of the Cantabria region of Spain. The 360-degree camera, run by the Royal Cantabrian Sailing Federation, sits on the small island known as La Isla de la Torre on Santander Bay, which you can see on the map further down the page.
The view starts with the bay entrance and the islet called Islote La Horadada, then moves to the old royal jetty Embarcadero Real, used by King Alfonso XIII during his holidays in the city. Further up is the Palacio de la Magdalena, a palace at the top of the Magdalena Peninsula. The beaches of Playa de Bikinis, Playa Los Peligros, and Playa de la Magdalena are also in view. To the west are the headland of Cabo Menor and the Faro Cabo Mayor, a lighthouse on the cliffs.
As the camera pans, it shows a close view of the historic Hotel Real, along with Nueva Montana, the port area, Maliano, and both the east and west bays. The towns visible include Astillero, Pena Cabarba, Punta Rabiosa, El Puntal, Marina de Pedrena, Somo, and Santa Marina.
