Town Square, Targu Secuiesc, Transylvania Live Cam

The main square of Târgu Secuiesc is a wide rectangle of pastel houses in the Székely country of Romania. The camera looks over the park and the parked cars from a guesthouse.

The town has a street plan found almost nowhere else: more than seventy narrow lanes run off the square between the houses, each one built by a craft guild, cutting the blocks into strips barely wide enough for a cart.

The square is named after Gábor Áron, who cast cannon here for the Hungarian revolution of 1848 and was killed the following year. Covasna, the county around it, has a Hungarian-speaking majority.
