Teleferic Grand Hotel, Brașov Live Cam

Snow falls on the ski slopes of Poiana Brașov in the webcam picture, in the clearing under Postăvarul in central Romania. The feed comes from the Teleferic Grand Hotel above the runs.

The resort sits at about 1,030 metres and the mountain behind it goes to 1,799, with a cable car and a gondola working the difference. Snowmaking covers most of the pistes, so the season holds from December into March in a fairly dry corner of the Carpathians.

Poiana was laid out from the 1950s as a purpose-built resort and belongs administratively to Brașov, twelve kilometres down the road. It took the Winter Universiade in 2013.
