Rock Wallaby Indoor Enclosure, GaiaZOO Live Cam

Indoor enclosure of the yellow-footed rock wallabies at GaiaZOO in Kerkrade, in the southern Netherlands. The camera looks down on a sandy room with boulders, tree stumps and wooden shelters along the walls.

GaiaZOO is a zoo in the province of Limburg. It was the first zoo in the Netherlands to keep yellow-footed rock wallabies, which arrived in December 2025 as part of a European breeding programme. The species comes from rocky ranges in Australia and climbs well, hence the stones and height differences.

The wide-angle view covers the whole indoor room: sand, feeding bowls, wooden houses and tall windows along the far side that look out on the outdoor part with more rocks. The wallabies rest on the stones, feed from the bowls or sit on top of the houses. At times they are in the outdoor part and the room looks empty.
