Weather and time
This camera looks down from Koyasu Bridge onto a bend of the Shirako River in Asahicho, Nerima, Tokyo. A stone-faced slope with a steel sheet-pile wall at its foot runs along the near bank above the dark, shallow stream.
The station stands in Asahicho 3-chome, in northern Nerima. Yakumo Shrine and the temple Myoanji are about 200 m away, and Houkei Junior High School and Kamineri Park are some 300 m off. The Shirako River is a tributary of the Shingashi River in the Arakawa system.
The bridge deck forms the top edge of the frame, with a concrete abutment at the lower right. A red water-level sign stands beside a white post on the slope, and a green-and-white staff gauge is fixed to the steel wall at the waterline. Shrubs and fallen leaves cover the ledge, and the stream curves away to the upper right.
