Shakujii River at Shakujii Intake, Nerima Live Cam

This camera watches the Shakujii River at its intake in Nukui, Nerima, where barred intake gates stand between round concrete piers. A broad concrete deck runs above the gates, and a grassy bar lines the foot of the structure.

In heavy rain the intake can take floodwater from the Shakujii River into an underground regulating reservoir. Kampachi-dori, one of the city's major ring roads, passes about 100 m away, and Mejiro-dori runs some 130 m from the intake.

The camera looks along the bank, so the row of piers and gates recedes toward a road bridge at the far end. The dark water ripples white in the middle of the channel, and a white equipment box stands at the lower right.
