Weather and time
This camera watches the Myoshoji River intake in Nogata, Nakano, and faces a steel screen set above a low concrete sill. White marker posts with orange tops stand in front of the screen, timber panels fill its lower part, and a gauge staff is fixed to the left pillar.
The intake stands in Nogata 5-chome beside Kannana Road, which crosses the river a few dozen metres away. It is a flood-control facility through which high river water can be taken into an underground regulating reservoir. Nogata Library is about 80 m away, and Nogata Station is roughly 300 m to the north. The river rises at Myoshoji Pond in Suginami and flows east to the Kanda River.
Unlike the nearby bridge stations, this view looks at the intake structure from a paved walkway rather than along the water. The screen, posts and sill fill the frame.
