Weather and time
This camera looks down a straight stretch of the Myoshoji River at Kamitakada in Nakano, where the channel runs between two high walls. A stone-faced wall topped by a fence lines the right bank, while a wide flight of steps leads down the left side.
The spot lies on the Nakano and Shinjuku border, in a quiet residential area. Nakano Kamitakada Park is about 100 m to the north-west and Kamitakada Library roughly 350 m away. Goryo Shrine in Shinjuku's Nakai district stands about 200 m to the south-east. The river rises at Myoshoji Pond in Suginami and flows east to join the Kanda River.
In the frame, a tree overhangs the paved walkway on the left, and bicycles stand along the fence at the top right. Metal rungs are set into the stone wall, and small stones break the surface of the shallow, clear water in the middle of the channel.
