Weather and time
This camera looks along the Ochiai River at Bishamon Bridge in Minamisawa, Higashikurume, down a narrow channel of shallow water. A stone-faced wall and a black railing run along the left bank, and thick reeds fill the right.
The station is in Minamisawa 3-chome, in the part of Higashikurume known for its spring water. Minamisawa Waterside Park lies only about 50 m to the south, and Minamisawa Hikawa Shrine, the guardian deity of the local springs, stands about 100 m to the south-west. Tamon-ji Temple is roughly 150 m to the north-east. The Ochiai River rises in Yawata-cho and joins the Kurome River.
The view is a close one from the bank. A grass-and-dirt path follows the railing on the left, a tree overhangs the far bank, and a bridge with a white railing crosses the channel in the distance. Ducks paddle through the shallows at times.
