Trestraou Beach Live Cam

Trestraou is the main beach at Perros-Guirec, on the coast of pink granite in the north of Brittany, in France. The webcam looks along the sand and the promenade wall from one end.

The rock along this shore really is pink, a granite full of feldspar that weathers into rounded blocks and only outcrops in a handful of places in the world. The coastal path east of the town runs through the strangest of it.

The islands offshore are the Sept-Îles, a bird reserve set up in 1912 and the oldest in France. The only gannet colony in the country breeds on one of them, along with puffins that the reserve was created to save from shooting parties.
