Saint-Malo Harbour Live Cam

This camera looks east from beside the walled old town of Saint-Malo along one of the basins of its harbour. Pontoons, quays and a moored tall ship line the long basin.

Saint-Malo sits on the north coast of Brittany, and its port has long been tied to the corsair shipowners whose houses stand behind the ramparts. The harbour basins lie directly below the walls. The Route du Rhum transatlantic race starts from Saint-Malo every four years, and at those times marquees and a ferris wheel fill the quays.

The view is fixed, with a tall white mast in the right half of the frame. To the left are the modern buildings and pontoons along the north quay, and in the distance the basin opens toward the cranes and sheds of the working port. This camera looks inland over the harbour rather than out to sea.
