La Plagne Roche de Mio Live Cam

Roche de Mio rises to 2,739 metres above the ski area of La Plagne, in the Tarentaise valley of the French Alps. The camera stands beside the top station of the gondola, often above a sea of cloud filling the valley.

La Plagne is one of the largest linked areas anywhere, with pistes between 1,250 and 3,250 metres and a glacier on Bellecôte at the top. Since 2003 the double-decker Vanoise Express cable car has joined it to Les Arcs across the valley under the name Paradiski.

The Tarentaise concentrates more lift capacity than any other valley in the world, and the resorts along it were built for volume from the 1960s onward. Summer opens some of the same lifts for walking and mountain biking.
