Fiera di Sant'Orso, Aosta Live Cam

Via Edouard Aubert is a pedestrian street in the centre of Aosta, and it runs below this webcam in northern Italy. Café tables stand outside the shopfronts, and people cross the paving between the buildings on both sides.

This street is at the heart of the Fiera di Sant'Orso, the craft fair held every January along the old centre, which traces its origin to around the year 1000 and is the largest event of its kind in the Alps. A permanent showcase of valley crafts keeps the trade visible the rest of the year.

During the fair the street disappears under stalls and crowds for two days. Roman remains — the Augustan arch, the Praetorian gate, the theatre — stand within a few blocks.
