Port Saint-Gildas, Houat Live Cam

This camera looks over Port Saint-Gildas, the small harbour of the island of Houat off the Morbihan coast in Brittany. A stone quay, floating pontoons and moored fishing and leisure boats fill the basin, with open sea beyond the breakwater.

Houat is a small island in the Atlantic south of the Quiberon peninsula, home to a year-round community of fishermen and families. Ferries from Quiberon arrive at Port Saint-Gildas, and visitors walk up to the village from here, since there are no cars on the island.

The camera turns between views. One looks across the harbour basin toward the pontoons and the breakwater, while another points along the quay wall and the sandy slip beside it toward white buildings on the shore and a small beacon off the rocks. At low tide a strip of sand beside the quay is exposed.
