Gramado Centre, Brazil Live Cam

Lago Negro is the park lake at Gramado, and it lies below this view in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Swan-shaped pedal boats are moored along the shore, and paths and flowerbeds run down to the water.

The lake was dug after a fire cleared the valley, and the pines around it were brought from the Black Forest — part of the German and Italian settlement that gave the town its alpine styling. A second view from the same stream covers the main crossroads in the centre.

Gramado sits at 830 metres and gets genuinely cold winters, which is rare in Brazil and half the reason people come. In December the whole town is given over to its Christmas festival.
