Skyglass Canela, RS, Brazil Live Cam

The Skyglass viewing platform stands in front of this webcam at Canela, in the highlands of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. A red steel pylon carries the walkway out over the valley, and araucaria pines stand along the rim on both sides.

The platform runs 35 metres out from the cliff with a glass floor, some 360 metres above the river below, and is the largest structure of its kind in South America. A chair ride runs out beneath it for anyone who wants the drop without the glass.

Canela and neighbouring Gramado sit at about 800 metres and draw visitors year round. Cloud fills the valley below the platform on many mornings and hides the drop entirely.
