BR 386 Traffic, RS Live Cam

The BR-386 crosses the Taquari between Lajeado and Estrela, in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. The webcam looks along the bridge and the traffic.

This valley was the worst hit in the floods of September 2023 and May 2024, when the river rose thirty metres above its normal level, put the low ground of both towns underwater and cut the road for weeks at a time.

The bridge is the main link between the two banks and carries the route between Porto Alegre and the north-west of the state. The queue in the picture is what happens when anything on it slows down.
