Weather and time
This camera looks southwest from Treasure Island across San Francisco Bay to the Bay Bridge and the downtown San Francisco skyline. Salesforce Tower and the Transamerica Pyramid rise above the waterfront, with the rocky shore of Yerba Buena Island on the left.
Treasure Island is a man-made island built for the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition and later used as a naval station for over fifty years. It is now part of the City and County of San Francisco, joined by a causeway to Yerba Buena Island, where the Bay Bridge passes through a tunnel. New homes are rising on the former base.
The camera looks down on the ferry pier at the island's southwest corner and moves between views: a wide shot of the causeway road and ferry landing, a skyline panorama from the bridge to the northern waterfront, and closer framings of the towers and downtown.
