Cheetah Launch, Mussel Rock Live Cam

This webcam overlooks the Cheetah paragliding launch south of Mussel Rock Park in Daly City, with the open Pacific stretching to the horizon. Westline Drive curves along the slope on the right toward the park's parking area.

Cheetah is the name local pilots use for a stretch of coastal bluff just south of the Mussel Rock parking lot. It is an advanced launch, flown when the wind blows from the south-southwest to the west-southwest. The bluffs are part of Mussel Rock Park, at the southern end of Daly City where the San Andreas Fault meets the ocean.

The camera looks out from a slope above the road, with pine branches framing the left side. A streetlight stands by the road in the foreground, and cars parked at the far right mark the way to the lot. Unlike the park's other view, which follows the coast north, this one faces straight out to sea.
