Santiago Peak Live Cam

Santiago Peak is the highest point of the Santa Ana Mountains, at 1,734 metres above the plain of southern California. The camera looks out from the radio site on the summit.

The peak and its neighbour make the profile that people in Orange County call Old Saddleback, visible from most of the county on a clear day. The two summits are the notch and the horn of it.

The top carries a forest of masts: broadcast and public safety transmitters covering a large part of the Los Angeles basin, which is why a road runs up here at all. On a rare clear winter morning the view reaches from the sea to the desert ranges.
