This live PTZ webcam shows the Prescott Rail and Lift Bridge on the BNSF St. Croix Subdivision in Wisconsin, United States. Streaming from Scabs Place, it gives a clear view of the area and the bridge spanning the St. Croix River, which connects Prescott, Wisconsin, to Hastings, Minnesota. The bridge carries freight rail traffic operated by the BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe) Railway. Its vertical lift design raises the central span to let river traffic pass, including barges and boats. Nearby is the Prescott Drawbridge, also called the Point Douglas Bascule Bridge, which also crosses the St. Croix River. Unlike the lift bridge, it is a bascule bridge with a movable span that allows river traffic to pass underneath. Both bridges are part of the region's transportation network, and the BNSF St. Croix Subdivision connects the Midwest to other parts of the United States.
