Richardson Nature Center stands at 8737 East Bush Lake Road in Hyland Lake Park Reserve, in the southern Minneapolis suburb of Bloomington. Hiking trails around the building weave between restored prairie, oak forests and wetlands. Along them, visitors might spot deer, foxes, coyotes, muskrats and turkeys, while ospreys and trumpeter swans nest in the area.
