Portland City, Oregon Live Cam

Downtown Portland stretches west below this webcam, high in the KOIN Tower in Oregon, in the north-western United States. Office and apartment blocks fill the foreground, and the wooded West Hills rise directly behind them.

The tower is 155 metres tall, holds offices and a television station, and stands at the southern end of the downtown grid. Behind the ridge in view lies Forest Park, one of the largest urban forest reserves in the country, and the city itself sits on the Willamette a few kilometres above its junction with the Columbia.

Low cloud sits on the hills for much of the winter and often hides them completely. In October the slopes in the frame turn through autumn colour, and after dark the grid below shows as regular lines of light.
